A Day In Yellowstone. What Better Way To Celebrate My First Two Months On The Road

I’ve been on the road for 60 days now!  I can’t believe it.  From New England to Canada, from Canada to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, from “The U.P. to Fargo, Minneapolis, The Badlands, Billings and now Yellowstone, it’s been an awesome two months!

The entire two months have felt like nothing short of a delightful gift from the universe even the few little bumps I’ve experienced along the way!  I also think I’ve been pretty true to the “spirit” of the journey. I’ve just kind of made it up as I’ve gone along and it’s been fantastic.

Anyway enough of that. Here’s what you need to know about Yellowstone:

It’s beautiful and majestic beyond anything you might have imagined.

Every single person should see this place at least once in their life.

Yellowstone is our nation’s first national park established by an act of congress in 1872

There are A LOT of really cool animals!

I entered the park on July 1, 2011 at 7:15AM and exited at 8:30 PM. 13+ hours and I just scratched the surface of one of the most beautiful places on earth. The scenery literally takes your breath away and the animals are glorious! See for yourself.

A beautiful moose nestled in the trees!

Just finished my last hike with Daniel, drove out of the parking lot, looked over to my left and rainbow!

Gopher snake

A herd of bison

A gray male wolf-pretty rare to see

Hiking on Mt. Washburn in July

Marmot standing at attention! They are so incredibly cute

Pronghorn sheep

Bison

A female black bear and her two cubs off to the right

Many of you know about the infamous "hotel room bear spray incident" No actual tourists or bears were harmed during this dramatization

I would love to see the look on your face if you came outside and found a bear sitting in your driveway! I never told you the hotel bear spray story? it was years ago, lets just say the lesson I learned was “Don’t test your bear spray inside your hotel room. Yikes or should I say ouch!
