NYC What I’ll Miss and What I Won’t

Movies with popcorn and bagels with cream cheese, morning newspapers and coffee with soy milk, girls in short dresses and very high heels, shopping at The Strand and getting great deals. When the sirens blare, when the dogs crap, when I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite New York things and then I don’t feeeeeeeeeel so bad.

Things I’m Gonna Miss

My friends

Broadway plays and musicals

Pizza

Having EVERYTHING I need within a five mile radius of where I live

The option of having 90% of the things I need delivered to my apartment

My bed

Art House movies

Art House movie popcorn

Murray’s Bagels

Katz’s corned beef sandwiches. I only have them like twice a year, but it brings me comfort knowing they’re near by if I need them

Hanging out in the East Village

Hanging out in the West Village

Billy’s Cupcakes

Talking really fast

The beautiful diversity of NYC

People who know how to bring the funny!

Things I Say Good Riddance To ( At Least For Now)

Crowds

The Subway

Crowded Subways

Cashiers who ignore you when you say thank you

Tourists walking four across through Times Square

Random hideous smells that offend my nasal passages

Speed demon Chinese delivery dudes on bikes

Small apartments with big price tags

Long lines

I would miss the randomness of NYC. Like wandering around the Lower East Side and randomly finding a fabulous, comfortable restaurant to have dinner with great friends!

    Love this one:
“The option of having 90% of the things I need delivered to my apartment”

How about hanging with your mates at the Standard Hotel Biergarten on a nice sunny evening in April ?
